Safety & Hazards

  • Classification: Classified as an irritant to the skin and eyes.
  • Health Risks: Direct contact may cause allergic skin reactions and serious eye irritation. Inhalation of concentrated vapors may cause respiratory discomfort.
  • First Aid Measures: Flush affected eyes or skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Move to fresh air if vapors are inhaled. If swallowed, rinse mouth and seek medical advice.

Handling & Storage

  • Storage: Protect from light and air exposure. Store in tightly sealed containers in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. The liquid may turn brown upon prolonged exposure to light or air.
  • Precautions: Wear standard PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves and safety goggles. Store away from strong acids and oxidizing agents. Do not use in combination with nitrating agents (nitrites) to avoid the formation of potentially carcinogenic nitrosamines.
