Product Name: 1-Naphthol (alpha-Naphthol)
Grade: Analytical Reagent (AR Grade), featuring high purity ( 99%) for sensitive chemical assays and microbiological testing.
Physical Properties: White to off-white crystalline solid with a phenolic odor. Discolors to pink or brown upon exposure to light and air.
Solubility: Slightly soluble in water; freely soluble in ethanol, ether, and alkaline solutions.
Key Use: Essential reagent for Molisch’s test (carbohydrate detection) and Voges-Proskauer (VP) test in microbiology. Also used as an intermediate in dye and pesticide synthesis.

Handling & Storage
